The third destination of my campaign ‘Fence the Future‘ was taken at Delhi Public School. It was a special visit as I am also a student in the same school. I was fortunate enough to receive the opportunity to present my work and campaign there and inspire many young minds.
The workshop was done with class 8th and 9th students. It was held in the sports complex room with the sports teachers present there. The students were quite well aware about sports and how thing go about them. So, it was really to communicate with them as they could relate with me. Many students were interested in sports and were quite excited about the workshop. It was an absolute delight to share my ideas with them as well as thoughts and advices. As the workshop continued, they wanted to know more about fencing, I thought that they were really into it and indeed they were!. Some of them even came up to me after the session to know more about it or how can they access to it. These students were at the crucial age of discovering new things and exploring their capabilities. So there was this extra eagerness to know about something new they have not heard about it. Fencing being new and unique in India intrigued them. They started to ask a lot of questions which was good for me because that’s why I was there. I was really happy to see them asking everything and it showed through their interest.
The workshop ended on a very good note as everyone was quite satisfied by the information they could get and even the teachers were happy to see me as their own student perform and encourage these little kids to achieve their dreams and goals!
Here are some snaps from the session:
