CRAFTING CONNECTIONS! / MOKSHADA CHOUDHARY

MY CREATIVE ART OF CARDS

In a world often dominated by digital communication, the art of sending handwritten cards is a nostalgic and heartfelt way to connect with others. When I was a kid mayby 6 or 7 years of age I started making handmande cards for every occasion like birthdays, annevasairies, festivals and many more events that happen. I have been into the world of card making till date, and the experience has been nothing short of delightful. Today, I want to share my journey into this creative endeavor and the joy of sharing handmade cards.

My journey began when I stumbled upon a card-making workshop in my community. Intrigued by the idea of creating something personal and unique, I decided to give it a try. Little did I know that this newfound hobby would soon become a source of immense joy and satisfaction. Card making is a beautiful blend of creativity and craftsmanship. From selecting the right paper and embellishments to choosing the perfect color palette, every step in the process allows for personal expression. The intricate details, from stamping and embossing to adding dimension with layers, turn a simple piece of paper into a work of art. Sharing my handmade cards became a way to strengthen connections with friends and family. Instead of a quick text or an email, a handwritten card felt like a genuine expression of care and effort. The feedback I received was heartwarming and it made very happy, I was too delightful to see the smile that every person had when I presented these cards to them– the recipients appreciated the time and love put into creating something special just for them.

My journey into card making is an ongoing adventure. The more I explore this craft, the more I appreciate its ability to foster connection, mindfulness, and creativity. Whether it’s a simple ‘thank you’ card or an elaborate creation for a special occasion, each card represents a moment of joy and a tangible reminder of the beauty of handmade gestures.
