Running for student council is one of the most exhilarating and educational experiences of my school life. It taught me about leadership, responsibility, and the power of community. Here’s a detailed look at the start of my journey!
The idea of running for student council first crossed my mind when I saw how much impact the council had on our school environment. They organized events, facilitated student feedback, and worked closely with the administration. After discussing it with friends, family, and teachers, I decided to throw my hat in the ring for the position of Head Girl.
Firstly I was shortlisted from a group of students who gave their names for Head Girl. Then the a written aptitude test was held to narrow down the students! I qualified the round and was selected for the elections where each one of us will have to prepare a speech which included our visions and goals for the school. On a selected day then we will have to present the speech in front of the entire school and then finally the voting will begin. Students with teachers, the whole school will vote.
